Cheers bill but you don’t or couldn’t educate me ? .... now I know all about different dogs and their ability to withstand weather I have had lots of dogs that never flinched at the weather I even had a border terrier bitch that would find puddles to curl up in and sleep ... but the fact remains like all animals some no matter the breeding feel the cold more than others and need that extra help ... it really is that simple.

Oh and wax paper works out pennies a week at £9 a bale that lasts months .......

Socks I already educated you just seems like you don't just know it you being has you are.atb bill

We can breed for toughness and hardiness, of course,..but you have to work with the tools you have at your disposal, at the time...

I grew up around hard-working sheep and cattle dogs, that were owned by even harder men...?

In hindsight, they were treated abysmally,..and considering their value and usage to the stockman,..it was ridiculous how bad they were kept.

Nowadays, I feel we are far more educated and enlightened, towards our canine partners.

My dogs are now simply fireside pets, but there was a time when I hunted,..illegally, then, legally,.. the dogs played an integral part in my life...

I coined the phrase back then, (and if I was still active),..it would be just the same again, "Work them Hard and Treat them like Heroes"...?

How many dogs u had Phil ??

He has had a good few but mostly all those lurcher men did back then looking fa the holy grail,of course there was often mistakes in letting some go ,it was what it was but remember this with out that type of ability in those earlier keepers we would not have come this far in some of our xs breeds in clouding coursing types bull xes collie cur lines etc.often young jukels would be culled rehomed for indiscretions that are part normal behaviour in lots a lines and some pay big money fa some. Bred with traits that would not be put up with.atb bill
