Soaked through

Recommended Posts

With the weather being ideal to do a bit of bunny bashing a decided to take the young dog out for a run. Had a look close to town to start and although the weather was ideal the low cloud caused to much light pollution, along with lamp shy rabbits I was fighting a losing battle. After a long hard think I decided to try a spot I haven’t visited in a few year, the rabbits were quiet and me and the young dog settled into a steady evenings sport. Called it a night at 20 bunnies as I was wet through to the under crackers. The young dog done well and no lactic problems tonight so alls good.

It pissed down until 9 oclock this morning from about 1 am Trev. I literally wrung by under crackers out when I got home I was wet through. It was 17degrees here aswell so had to watch I didn't get to carried away running the dog hard. As you say it's crazy warm for the time of year.

well done trig ,  it takes some will power to keep going for 2-3 hours when your feckin wet though , and more so if it cold with it , at least you wasnt cold  ,  had many wet/colds nights in the past .  your young dog did great that good bag even for older dog did he have bit left in his tank i know you said he got good stamina on him , hope you toweled him down after, it stop cramp for a start , and 2nd help stop with lactic/acid  , i always gave Buck good rub down after lamping  when finished  and  when i put him in his kennel .

Yeah he had got some left in the tank mate. I was fortunate enough to be in a spot that hadn’t had any lamp so the rabbits were sat quiet and I was able to pick his runs and just select the rabbits I thought best.
