Obviously your mate does just few folk Iv known over the years that had em as pets all really liked em an I wonder if it’s Cos they are nice dogs to live with or they just really like the breed?? my ole Granny had one years back an tbh it was like a cross between bambi an a clown was thick as shit an gangly as you imagine, but Fcuk me when it turned 2 or summat she become a beast an ended up going to an uncles mate who owned a butcher shop that kept getting broke into I was glad to see back of the fcuker if honest as every time door went this thing used sneak out an it would be us kids chasing the cnut about the scheme for hours He says they work better when dispersing a crowd as they bounce about jaws snapping giving it loads of gob and everyone has seen the crop eared nasty guard dogs in the films and that is enough to scatter a crowd.Whereas his bandogs will just stand staring with their tails wagging and if youve got a bit of a crowd they can get a bit brave especially if theyve been on the marching powder and if youve got a crowd even if the dog grabs the first couple you're still in for a pasting. So even though the Dobes are not as tough physically or mentally that scattiness can sometimes be more effective in certain situations. 1 1 Quote Link to post

Aussie Whip 4,083
I lost my faith in Dobermans after my 4 Silky terriers bashed a top guarding specimen and sent it running after it came out to attack me as a kid back in the 70's,and that's when Dobermans were still decent.A few years later my 12kg staff bitch did the same to one who was put on us.
