eastcoast 4,110
The original dogs weren't all black and tan either, even used to throw merle. Showing farm/cattle dog origin. But that got swept under the carpet and modern breeders prefer to think or rather promote the idea that they're a mastiff type dating back to ancient Rome Quote Link to post

Now by me in the that w - ton by the black country, old line staffs were popular simlar to pits of to day well blokes were useing bull mastiff x pits, just as guard dogs, and quite few were not bad guard dogs, but still bit sharp with other dogs. It was about the apbt started to get banned in England. But these deff were improvement to a pure bull mastiff, as good guard dog, but alot more healthy. It a type x I like, and if left lurchers. I deff would have one, but suppose it be hard getting this type x today https://www.pitpedia.com/dog/eddingtons-wanna-be-a-whopper/ In my opinion most weight pull pits have bull mastiff in the mix.eddington watchdog razors edge.the dog posted above weighed 110 lbs. A bloke I knew trained and worked security dogs and he said the most dangerous dog he ever saw was a neo bitch owned by someone in a terraced house with no front yard that had egged it on every time someone walked past and it had flipped. Just read about the cane corso now they slimmer type than a neo. But very good guards, and from what is said far more healthy than a pure neo. Surely these would make great Bandog when out x to apbt, do they use this x , David hancock who wrote about mastiffs said, the cane corso was very good breed and hopes they don't get ruined by the KC, but as yet there not over popular Quote Link to post

It was outside all day with a kangol, no shelter, rain or shine on a corner garden behind a fence made from sheets of reinforcing mesh! Just bouncing off the fence all day at passerby’s! He told me he didn’t trust it with visitors.............yeah no shit! 1 Quote Link to post
