Like that here now,the bulldog I had was trying to grab people at 3 to 4 months,died a couple of years ago but I got 2 pups when I put him over my pit bitch,best guard dogs I've owned.

The ones iv'e had and the ones iv'e seen all looked after there owners and there owners property very very well indeed,they all worked pretty bloody well to and the best ferreting dog i have ever seen was a acd x..

Forgot about them, deff brill guard dogs, and even x back to running dog that acd still strong gene to pass on there guarding ability. Pity there not more bred in to the lurchers to get very good knock about type dogs.

A lad I know breeds Turkish mastif and no one going to steal f all with one of these running about ,head size of trucks steering wheel .

he got a 4 month pup bigger than my lurchers already ,he says they can b hard work if time not put into them early in life ,but once trained and no the q no one is getting back over the fence they shouldn't have

Was out last night, met the lady friend. Dickhead has only met her a few times. Anyway I'm sat in a bar waiting and up she rocks with one of her work colleagues, who the dog doesn't know. No bother, he recognises that he's part of the group. At that point some poor b*****d walks into the bar quickly (it has a totally open front) and dickhead spins around like you wouldn't believe and let's out a serious fuuck off away bark The bloke shit himself. The Mrs jumped out of her skin and I just sat there with a "what the hell" look on my face. Never ever seen him be so protective but as sure as shit stinks, he wasn't having that bloke anywhere near her, stared at him until he'd moved into the bar and sat down.

Dogs just have a sence about these things. They just know when something is off, and their not rearly wrong imo.

In truth I have no idea what set him off or what he was thinking. He went into full protection mode, tail up straight, that stance, mouth slightly open and intensive staring at the chap, even me calling him over didn't register. He was having none of it. He's 6 and has never done it before. He's shown protective behaviour but never aggression.

I seem to remember Dodger (breeder) telling me his mum was protective, maybe it's just innate in him.

Dogs are wierd my male dog let a dalmatian x pup jump all over him and just ignored it but a boxer pup just looked at him he started growling 

None of mine are protective they probably watch someone beat me 2 death then go over and see if he got any biscuits

My whippet x like that ,he fffing hold the torch why they help themselves to what ever they like .b with other dogs and hates staffs ,he thinks he a pit bull and forgets a good wind blow him away

What id do to have him as a pup again ,love the bones of him
