Further to Mr Tea Pots thread on Crayfish Hour with bacon and string  , which it seems I railroaded (I have apologized to him).

Just a bit more, latest offering already dealt with, I tried it without purging, frankly they are not as bad as I expected but not quite as good...……………….

Around 6.5kg in my sink just before cooking!

Wish we had crayfish in South wales

As Balaur said, be careful what you wish for.

It will only be a matter of time and these are the Signal of course, very few of our native left now it seems as the signal has taken over (there are other invaders as well).

They are an absolute pain, fishermen hate them and the Environment Agency want them gone, (a losing battle it seems)

Can you believe it, woke up this morning to one on my kitchen floor, he must have somehow done a runner from my sink and fallen off the worktop, never happened before..     After the cooking session yesterday I don't know what to do with him, chucked him in the bucket and given him some food...do they make good pets? :thumbs:

They are in S.Wales. Some areas still have natives though so you need to be sure what you are looking at.   Pen Y Fan Pond above Crumlin had them.
