According to the additional article posted above, he's signed several non-disclosure agreements and has settled out of court. It doesn't prove or disprove anything and innocence is assumed until proven otherwise.

Regardless of the popularity of the accusations does the panel think that these alleged crimes shouldn't be reported/investigated?

I can't believe there isn't some sort of statute of limitations.   

If someone has a problem why does it take YEARS for them to do something, if I get burgled, I call the police, I don't think about if for 5-10-15 etc etc years and then report it!

The financial resources needed to bring/build a case stemming back YEARS is colossal in comparison with a fresh case, and chances of any conviction reduced.

To be fair yes it was below the belt a

especialy been Irish but to be honest dog fox/ kerney and whatever else he calls himself he isn't here to protect you so daytime rape is ok.

The statute of limitations for rape in Nevada is 20 years.

A lot of the historic sex abuse cases are beyond that and can't be tried criminally. The alleged victim made the claim in 2009 and has refiled.

In answer to your question I honestly don't know. The default assumption is that it's for publicity and money but also everyone hates nonces. It's a baffling standard and makes for confusing reading.
