Neobliviscaris1776 1,998
Never had an offroad bike before but was considering getting something that I can take up some tracks and the dogs can run alongside. How much for something decent and any make/models you recommend? Any pointers appreciated All the best
Daniel cain 45,238
Xr 400 r, crf 450,wr 450,probably better off getting a quad, rack front and back sit the dogs on then let them off when you hit the mountain maybe?

dogmandont 9,809
Yamaha TTR 250 would be my choice for what you want to do. And can be picked up for humble enough money.

Meece 1,957
Dogs should not be run after a vehicle because the dopes don't know when to stop and they strain their systems. It is possible to overheat them in hot weather and damage their hearts. If you were to chase a vehicle youd pack it in after a short while in a knackered pile but dogs don't. Bike is good for getting around but beware of coming a gutser on wet ground. Been there. 1

Neobliviscaris1776 1,998
Quad it will probably likely be. Cheers for the posts. What makes/models prices? Really not planning on spending a fortune but still want something reliable

leegreen 2,166
Motor bikes, quads... sounds like fat blokes stuff if I needed to go down the getting my dog fit route, I'd use a push bike and get some road work in. Decent reliable quads are expensive, a couple of grand at least.
