dogmandont 9,959
I’ve a budget of 3 grand for a new dog bus swaying towards another berlingo but I’d like to hear a few ideas as I’m open to anything, but it must be reliable.

hawki 1,433
2012 CITROEN BERLINGO MULTISPACE VTR 1.6 HDI DIESEL does anybody have any experience with these good or bad? what to look out for
forest of dean redneck 11,754
I drove a 2011 xtr from brand new till it was 3 year old, drove it hard never missed a beat. Only thing is I think with citroen is the hdi is a noisy engine and bit fumey you can always tell when your stuck behind a citrien/Peugeot in traffic and the plastics get brittle on interior and under the the bonnet. Also from what I can gather they are not as good as the older berlingos?
ands 559
I 've used the citreon berlingo xtr for a few years mad amount of room in them, great ground clearance lots of mpg, perfect for someone with a young family and a dog man- the car is cheaper than the van type and less tax- just black out the rear windows (about £20 on e bay) Edited June 13, 2020 by ands spelling
JDHUNTING 1,817
We have a couple of double cab Renault kangoos at work their on about 100k now I think and neither have skipped a beat so far but they are serviced regular.
dogmandont 9,959
This is my dog bus at the minute, with the wife working more at the weekends because of the covid situation I needed something that I could get the kids into as well. Its the 140bhp 2.2hdi that's been mapped to almost 200bhp. Shite ground clearance but don't think it'll be much of a problem. And for under a grand it'll do the trick for a while. XTR has the plate underneath (well needed!) more ground clearance and better traction control, not sure on the vtr
