dytkos 17,802
What started off as a wasp sting about 3 weeks back has turned into a money pit for me! Bitch got stung in the ear and shook her head so violently that she gave herself a cauliflower ear, swelled up like a ping pong ball. Had the blood/fluid drained a few times but to no avail, Few vets visits and an op = Minus about £500 plus she has to wear the cone of shame for 3 weeks and gentle exercise, just as I was starting to get them fit for a run. Ah well. Cheers, D. Quote Link to post

Str 793
Is the dog shaking is head making the ear worse? Is so use some electrical tape round the dogs head holding the ear in place, looks a twat but it rest the wound speeding the healing process up. Quote Link to post

Not squeamish about hunting etc and not the type to overcharge on anything. Dick head sliced open the front of his wrist. Took him to a local vet because It was closer, to get it stapled and the cnut starts popping on about stitches and anaesthetic etc lol I asked a rough price even though I'd told him to staple it and no anaesthetic needed.... A lot of f***ing money! Went to my regular vet he took one look and said staple it.... will he sit still like Trevor? Lol to his credit, the dog took that wound being stapled like he was being patted by a hundred old women cost me 20Euro. 1 Quote Link to post
