When a plan comes together

Have been up north for a few days and the rains have come, the spate was a little big but the fish had been in the sea pool waiting to run so I knew I was in with a chance.  On this particular water I like to return most of the fish ( keeps the old boys in the club happy  ) but I do like to keep the odd one for the table.

Never did a rolling spey-cast on such a beautiful looking place,looks really nice

Going to cure the eggs out of the fish and have a spot of caviar on toast for breakfast in the morning before I cast a line

As kids we used to gut fish on the bank and eat the roe,dogs used to love it as well,tight lines old bean

Well worth the trip up,, well done,, next time your heading up feel free to pop in for a visit,, I've a few yards that's due a soak
