 II know arguments can break out ,but I am genuinely intrigued as to what sort of person goes out of their way to be constantly belligerent and obnoxious ,if one of the usual suspects could pm me and explain their reasoning I would be very grateful.

I joined in July 2008 under the same name as I have now when I believe the old Patterdale site closed down when Chief was in charge a very good site with a tight control on membership, I don’t do any other social media apart from a specialist Ducati site of which I am a long term member.

I do like coming on here because of the varied forums, you can pick up info which you might not have been sure about long may it continue,  the Cuntery nice terminology Walshie should be kept to the General forum we would know where we all stand then it should never have polluted the working dog section 70 pages of bollocks but hey ho.

I,m quite new here so don't remember the " good ole days " there is plenty of shit banded about on here and we are all probably guilty to a lesser or greater degree of participating, but every single person I,ve actually met in the flesh has been a decent sort that I,d be glad to meet again, all the rest is just banter that I,m free to take or leave, as is everyone else, so all good

That’s true I have been on the forums since dial up days and I don’t remember a single sentence the egg ever wrote that was remotely interesting or stimulating. He is a joke around dogs and many people have witnessed it with their own eyes. I’ll say one thing about him though he’s got some thick skin because if I was guilty of half of what he’s done I wouldn’t show my face on the sites.

I hope he's just taking some time out. Wilf was never far from being the centre of controversy but he genuinely believed what he said. He is generally a man of principle and even acknowledges the times he isn't! He was/is one of a small handful of members that I really respected on here. I respect most of course but there's a handful I have a lot of time for.

I can say this because he's 'away'. It'd be a bit gay otherwise.

Forums have always ebbed an flowed like that. That's one of the reasons this place sprung up. I've met some lifelong friends on this platform and despite a tide of sh*t that occasionally washes in it'll continue to thrive as long as people are willing to use it and there's been some damn good threads on here over the years. You always have the option to ignore any w*nk*r that you don't care to read.

We discussed this on a thread some months ago and this is the only form of social media I use. When us dinosaurs start to become extinct that's when the forums lifespan will drop. Personally, I like a place where I'm not limited to characters and every other f*ck*ng post is some duck lipped w*nk*r posing for an imaginary audience.
