suitable air-rifle for squirrels

Hiya,

I'm new to the site........but just wondered if anybody could reccomend a good air-rifle for squirrel shooting,

spring or pre-charged i'm not bothered which..........!

DEPENDS ON YOUR BUDGET REALLY...MY ADVICE IS TO SPEND AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE.GET A RIFLE AND GO HUNT SOME TREE RATS.

 

 

BUY A MAINSTREAM RIFLE.DONT GET ANYTHING TO CHEAP AND NASTY

Although I'm a springer man at heart I now use a cheap XS79 CO2 gun for ratting and tree ratting. I have tuned it myself, no parts bought and it runs at about 11.5 ft/lb. Its light to carry and dead accurate and I get about full power shots per refill. Really pleased with it.

Getting some good suggestions lads........should have said 2nd hand is OK........got about £150.00 to spend.

I got a theoben gas-ram .177 that is deadly on squirrels.........bit pricey from new though.

i would reccomend a second hand one tho,

I suspect a PCP with all the bits is a bit hopeful for £150 but you will find one or two CO2 and almost any full power springer should do the job on squirrels. They can be VERY hard to stop so good pellet placement is essential.
