I'm not surprised he's hardly a shining light or expert on lurcher work is he ........

Never met him Kenneth, Or read any of his books I'm afraid. . . From what Tomo says, the mans a dedicated follower of all things hunting related and he does put some serious amount of time and effort into his pictures etc. The night he came up and did a bit with Tomo for that lamping book etc... he had a massive load of gear that he was carrying around to get the lighting and the shots etc as well as lamping and working his dog. Fair play to anyone if they want to put the effort in.

Some of the pictures Phil Lloyd has taken over the last few seasons have been spectacular, but them big cameras and long lenses are not cheap and take a lot of time getting the right focus and setups etc etc..   it takes more time and patience than I have got.  I'll stick to the odd iPhone video...lol

I’ve just been to drop some ferrets off for the keepers etc and sort my Truck tyres out.

All set to start now. Couple more weeks and I’ll have a walk with the dogs.

My pictures for this season are going to be start of the day pics instead of the usual big bag of rabbits lined up to show off at the end of the day.

Have a bloody good season everyone.

I have two older ferrets that I doubt will survive this winter and I'll miss them when they go. I completely trust these two
The hob has outlived his litter brother by 2 years and the Jill a litter sister by 3 years and I find it's incredible that at 7 years old, long long past the typical lifespan of polecats in the wild, and despite their obvious tumours and associated thyroid swelling both those old ferrets are still keen to get out and do their thing very well 😍.

hello group I lost the metal part  inside my transmitter from my cs125 drain tracer kit mk3/ferret finder so now the transmitter isn’t sending a signal.any ideas on how to do a diy job on getting my transmitter working again.I tried some tin foil on the hearing aid batteries and the small metal contact where my pen is pointing to and the receiver beeps every time I press down on the small metal contact in the transmitter.I also tried a screw in the transmitter to make a contact.see my pictures shows my failed diy job attempt.

My little doe has finally had her kits around a week ago their mum is a great little hunter but also a great pet  she is proud of them and i have been close to them but still keeping a distance from them at this stage  hopefully if i can get 3 to 4 bucks for new stock I will be happy with that . My question is I have in the past put my young ones to work with their mum at around 6 months old is that a bit to early. Second of all I will keep one of her daughters for breading as milly is getting old  . With the older ones I will pass them on as pets as that are friendly when handheld but do hunt when they out to work . c
