South Africa: Farm Seizure

It can  be understood the motive and idea  behind this but they should take notice of what happened in Rhodesia/Mbongo land. It dont matter what colour the people are  but the mindset and culture are important factors. Jobs have to be allocated by ability not cos your in the same tribe or a mate or a family member. But everyone is so corrupt without any sort of social responsibility that no one is trustworthy so it dont look great for the country.

Be Rhodesia/ Zimbabwe all over again , Mugabe and his henchmen turned what was the bread basket of Africa into a dust bowl in just a few years , South Africa will end up the same , fly ridden sh1t hole full of starving tribes hacking one another to bits with machetes and  fighting over the scraps while the boys in charge plunder the nations wealth ...There’s a lot to be said for the tribal system as practiced in Africa , unfortunately nothing positive..

I don’t think it will 

too much interest in that part of the world from larger type parties. 

Be funny to see some of the reaction though, a lot of those Afrikaan farmers are serious types ,ex  rli, RSAS, parabats etc who I imagine wouldn’t roll over meekly.

I’d like to think your right Stiff , got a couple of mates that lost there farms in Zim , one went back last year just to see his old place , he was gutted , the whole place was derelict, when he had it there were six families living and working on the farm there’s one now and there  living in poverty , no one even lives in his old house which is hanging in tatters , every thing of any value has gone including the irrigation system , plant and tools ..He had to get out sharpish and left everything , evenwith all the kit they couldn’t keep it going ..

There’s absolute horror stories about the land seizures in zim. 

Elderly relatives left behind, workers refusing to leave, what they did was criminal. 

A mark of shame on this country political past imho was how we treated Rhodesia

Even though we don't like our politicians much I'm sure that the vast majority of all governmental agencies work for the general good of the population and the country. As opposed to the majority of all African countries who opt for cronyism and tribal hand outs to family members. Most of them are just a bunch of thieves whilst their countrymen starve. Still no doubt China will step in and buy the countrys agriculture and mineral wealth and use the population as slaves.

I don't think there is a great difference. I believe the majority get into it for the right reasons but the assumption that government is working for the good of anyone is a stretch. The less of it the better. The smaller the government is the less it can f*ck anyone over.

 

The state seizing land and redistributing it is nothing new. The Land Act in South Africa started this trend back post WW1. The ANC are doing what they see as righting old wrongs. This is a compulsory purchase order on steroids. It'll become outright theft when they amend the constitution to make it legal and generally what happens when you let socialists run the place unchecked.

That's right over 90% of blacks in south Africa are immigrants it was a very sparsely inhabited place before the white man turned up .
