More than likely bird. However isn't a power/control issue aswell.

Guys who rape other guys in prisons for example. They are not normally gay most have families. 

Priests are probably in a different bracket I guess. They are denied the practice of sex and relationships and isn't it mostly boys they have access to? I know very little about the workings of the papeish church. Do they have girl choirs or alter girls.

I think the whole celibate married to the church nonsense is a factor. But I'd agree they most probably had an unhealthy interest towards young boys. Also I'd say some of them probably joined the Catholic church solely to gain access to boys and meet like minded c**ts. Sort of haven if you like and actually have very little interest in religion. Im sure I read most as young priests were abused themselves. .As I said the whole sordid church and it's Draconian teachings need booted into the 21st century.

Back when most of it was going on a lot of them would of been forced into priesthood by their wealthy parents mostly for bragging rights or one farm two sons the elder gets the farm younger one gets fobbed off two the church or their parents would of seen they were wrong uns and hoped the church would of sorted the out and as scotty said they became priests to get access to kids

There's a lot of familiarity in all of this. Predation of vulnerable kids. People in positions of power. Authorities either refusing to investigate or actively covering it up.

It's been on NPR since the story broke and there was an interesting interview with the Attorney General of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro. They've been meticulous in their investigation and they've genuinely broken the mould when it comes to investigating these despicable crimes. The attorney general's office is pushing for reformation of their state's statute of limitations laws that have allowed all of these priests to walk away from this and not have to answer for their crimes. Other states have been in contact with their team to swap notes it appears as it's been a groundbreaking investigation. Shapiro was the one that successfully prosecuted the former president of Penn State Uni over the Sandusky abuse case showing that those who are complicit, ignore, or cover up, complaints of abuse should see the inside of a prison cell which is something that should be demanded in the likes of Rochdale, Rotherham, etc...

For the first time in ages it's been refreshing hearing from a person like Shapiro as he concluded the interview with the comment " If you commit sexual abuse in Pennsylvania, if you cover it up to protect your institution, we'll investigate and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law without fear or favor. "

Those figures posted are shocking but remember this. That's only the ones made public. They have literally paid out hundreds of millions in hush money that were never reported. 

 

That's true scot the Catholic Church is at the highest point of abuse . ( I'm catholic ) but across the board let it be sport or whatever. Kids are left in other people's trust and then molested.
