owdnorthener 13
I take it your looking at wooden handles ? I think there are only two to choose from, a straight shaft and one slightly curved at the tapered end, then its whether you prefer a tee handle or a "D" handle. Good luck Hope you get sorted. Caravan Monster 323
I repair good spades / shovels with a steel tube shaft topped off with a plastic D handle. Get your spade to a small fabricator' s shop, who shouldn' t really charge you more than a tenner to weld a tube on. Plastic handles should cost a couple of quid from a hardware shop or suchlike. Make sure your steel tube is the right size to fit inside the plastic D handle. Alternatively, Wickes builders merchants look to do a good range of quality digging kit at sensible prices- I think it is unbranded Spear and Jackson gear. Wolfy' s spades sound good - someone who uses them will know how to make them right.
