every one is entitled to their own opinion leo, but dave plats has bred  a lot of deerhoundx greyhounds over  the past 30yrs,and still breeding,still in business and still selling pups, so must be doing something right,over the years ive had 3 dogs off him and never had huge problems with them over running or turning when on their prey,even when young dogs learning the trade, just for intrest leo, how many of his dogs have you seen running or have you personally owned,  know a good few lads that have some of the latest stock and have only heard good reports, but like you say just preference.

Seen one of platts deerhound x work a few times was a good dog. Would take all game and had no problems turning. Would eat ground up when in full stride.

True he is still about after all this time but then again so is Hancock and look at the rubbish he churns out! And people still go and pay there hard earned money for one! Trouble is most people wouldn’t know where to start looking for a decent bred pup so they end up going to the commercial breeders
