Well lads ,I have been looking for a fac .22 gun second hand but cant find what I call good one .

Just come back from my local RFD after putting in a order for a FX Crown .22 FAC   synthetic stock  and got what I think is a good price £1260 .

Now the bad bit , A-S-I have none in stock so means waiting for one and good only knows how long that will be , specially as I am still waiting for my X barrel to be sent down .

Just need to have a look at a Pulsar thermal now and that is the hard bit trying to find out who has one for me to have a look at

good call Mitch:thumbs:

I like laminate stocks but I think the crown looks way better in the synthetic stock, only thing is they do mark if you bash them on fence posts.

there must be a powder lad that has a pulsar thermal down your way!

just got back in from pricing a job up and im off to do some test panels at 7 tomorrow morning so I can have the rest of the day to myself,

gonna be flat out for the next few weeks..this fx pulsar combo I want  int gonna pay for itself :(

I know what you mean about the stock marking and the do look way better in synthetic but laminate are far worse if you marked  it in any way  .

I was having walnut stock up until yesterday but after handling synthetic it changed my mind totally .

We are starting a job on Monday for 6 weeks solid so no more having Fridays or half day on Friday off , probably be 12 hour days as well . Its a student let house which needs a total referb and extension, which we have done the extension but needs all knocking through and finishing by mid September

2 days money shell pay for the crown or might even add it on to the job

fx dont go to wild on there walnut stocks, especially not to warrant the price difference!

Trouble is no youngsters are coming in to the building trade Its seems the same with shooting

They have started all sorts of skills collages up here and engineering schools that you can go to when you hit your last two years of secondary...

so hopefully there will be some smart kids coming through because the wave/aftermath  that blare brought through was  fcukin shocking!

I’ve got 4 kids who all like shooting and fishing so I’ll keep the balance going up north? there are loads of lads still into shooting and the dogs round my way so the field skills will still be about for a while?
