shovel leaner 7,650
After a very strange summer so far , the bucks around here Gloucestershire are finally showing and rutting properly. I’ve been noticing bucks with does , and the odd chase for weeks now , but the bucks have still been wary . In the last two days I’ve had bucks wonder out in front of me with not a sideward glance , totally focused on a doe . Also I’ve spotted a buck laid down exhausted and got up real close before he clambered to his feet . On a different note I had been watching a very nice buck all summer and had him earmarked for a client . Got a call out to a deer hit and injured on a road not far from the bucks territory. Got there a dealt with it , couldn’t tell if it was the buck because his antlers had been hit off . I haven’t seen him since so fear the worse ....shame . 1 1 Quote Link to post
