As already said your gun would have to be on your mates SGC too, but why not get a cabinet of your own, they're not a fortune and quite easy to fit.

I personally could not store my guns away from home. :D

PS. Oh! by the way, it's not a daft question at all mate.

The main reason i was asking is my lass doesn`t like the thought of a gun in the house where kids are, so as i said it would be a lot easier if i was all legit but kept the gun at my mates where he already has one is his cabinet, it wouldn`t be very often i went alone but just in case i did i wanted to know if i was still able to be the owner of the gun if it was not kept at mine?

cheers for the help guys

Diggist; Unless ye girl suspects ye deranged enough to go looney with the gun some time? As above, mate. Just get a Cabinet.

No one entering my cottage as a guest would know I even posessed a firearm. The cabinet isn't on view - and that's easy to arrange. Anyone who knew I had a gun and came after it? They'd have their work cut out

No way on this earth is a gun, secured in a properly installed version of the Security Cabinets ye can buy today - for silly low prices - going to become a threat to anyone, without the key holder opens that safe. And no kiddie born is about to open one!

Get ye cabinet, lisence and shot gun. Give ye good lady the key. Then buy an ammo safe to store ye cartridges in. You keep that key. F*ck me; It'd be easier to go burgle ye mates place!

Your missus isn't actually allowed to have access to the key, unless she is in fact a SGC holder as well. And,if the FAO finds out that they do have acces to the keys your licence would be revoked!CRAZY I KNOW,BUT....TRUE!!

Its legally possible, but not worth the effort. If its stored at your mates, it has to be on his ticket ...BUT his guns would also have to be on yours, as you have access to his safe. This actually applies to husband and wife [i have several customers in the same situation] all guns have to be on both tickets.

Get your own cabinet mate, and show the wife that no one can get access to them.As previously mentioned, your wife or anyone else must not know the whereabouts of the keys.Put it in the loft.
