Hi lads, looking to pick up a springer in the next few weeks and was thinking of repurposing a hen run I built as the dog pen. 

Its approx 10 foot by 8 foot. 

You think it's ok?

Yes that's ample space for a Spaniel.

You don't need a big run, its a place to keep the dog safe not an exercise pen.

As said it only a place to keep them in mine are out in the garden from 6 am till its late only feed and locked away in kennel and run

Paid another member on here a lot of money for a double sized over six foot fence , But it also stops prying eyes . But it surprises me they dont clear off the old bitch could clear it from a standing start the two pups have never tried

I have the sheepdog perfectly trained on a wireless radio fence (beep only). Don't really want to try the springer on it, when he's older.
