Why not use 2 inch all year ? you will find big winter rabbits will bounce off.some of the older generation would use 21/4 mesh & nothing else 1 Quote Link to post

A 2 " mesh is handy for picking up a good bag of young rabbits that would just run threw a 2 1/8th mesh when you start ferreting late august /september . but a 2 1/8th mesh is handy when full grown rabbits get caught they just get there head threw the mesh and you can neck them drop the net reset another net then take the rabbit out the net and fold it up in your own time knowing the burrow all netted again Quote Link to post
Mr Wilkes 2,983
Tried quite a few different long nets over the years , they all caught ( some better than others) but the ones I keep going back to are 4z , they are well made , cheap and will catch (if rigged properly ) most things that hit em . 3 Quote Link to post
