Me either pal to be honest never gave it a thought till he mentioned it he said I'd been out with them but was only a little kid and can't remember them but the pics he showed me they looked real animals rough coated 1 was a dark grey/blue and the other a blue mere with a fair bit of white and the 2 birches were collie marked smart dogs .the collie in them looked to have gave them more a thick set shape

Tell us a bit more about them Shepp. Given that they're more collie than grey what's their speed like?

Jake.

 

Banjo looks to have nice length to his back ,but there’s something about jake that makes him stand out more to me ,an it’s not the merle colouring as I prefer the typical pied/collie  colouring.

Hi,.yes I liked Jake as a pup,..he was ultra friendly and seemed to have inherited all the tractable qualities from his Border Collie ancestry (this does not necessarily occur when using herding blood)...some are bright, others not so ...

I don't keep males in my yard, so I sent him up to North Wiltshire to an old pal, who just needed a robust type of cur, for a bit of mouching.

I have never been out with the dog, .hopefully, he has provided some fun for his owner...

His sister, Swifty is a handy wee rabbiter though...

How much collie is in her Phil she as useful as the old dogs you had like speckle. Lamping /ferreting.

They were bred by Collie John who had the mother which was the 3/4 reversed. But I don’t think he will mind me telling you that she was a bit of a special dog, very racy, like nothing I have seen before. They didn’t lack speed,  probably faster that most 1st crosses.

Sadly my one died during an operation a few weeks back, she reacted badly to the anaesthetic, never had a sick day in her life and was really fit and healthy. My wife, mum and nephews were in pieces, she was a very good and protective dog, would’t take her eye off my nephews when out with them. Sadly missed.
