kat h yas judging a jukel on looks alone your words could not hold condition mid season ,very bony animal but fa such a large jukel he was poor constitution that animal above different type but has graft written all over it bets were he had no trouble holding condition,if by kennel blind one goes by physical beauty, well I ain't blind far from it I looks ta me that specimen above was capable of all but the deciding factor and that was the ability ta take decent amounts a graft when asked choosing the greyhound from a three quarter type breeding his usually what you get ,a greyhound that animal was a beauty of thyne but I'll say it again switch em round which would you prefer the locker or the the jukel with lots of graft in it ,I know I had them good nights coming round threes fours nights on the bounce dead of winter and the animal Cana get it right because of the greyhound constitution it's frustrating ,but I have no doubt looking at such a beauty makes up fa some till the penny drops and the blindness of beauty over graft his seen for what it his just blindness ,Kat h I have had some beauties but they invariably don't fit here they usually break down or just Cana take abuse of work and plus some jukels need to be physically be able to live they'd I choose to keep them .,thing with me katch I seen a jukel that looks to have the ability to last.and yes I seat yas mean I know I like ugly brutes lol atb bill

I was talking to a old boy yesterday who said in the early 80s he had a few deerhound x collie 1st crosses and showed me a few old photos looked some fair animals said they where as game as anything he's ever worked then in the later 80s put them to a greyhound.just wondering if anyone has come across this cross before and if they where as game as he says why people don't still use them rather than the grey x collie 1st cross

Morning, taken a step back from quad bikes and hounds - Don’t need the grief anymore. Having moved house my country has changed, curious of those that do hunt the hills with their lurches and a terrier at your heel, how do you bring them on? Getting the right dog for the job is no brainier but what about the training? Thanks.

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect
