jetro 5,349
I take it these pigs are seen and treated as vermin, and can be shot by any hunter, land owner, farmer without the need of a permit, tag, or special licence any time of the year. Ted Newgent 4,896
Mate of a mate got drawn for bull moose and wanted me to show him a few hot spots for the old bull winkle. so made our way to the big ol swamp just across from one of my cams. Crossed over the beaver damn and made our way into a nice clearing in the swamp. nate set up the rifle on the tripod and i stuck the foxpro out. gave a few cow calls. Muted the call. gave a few cow calls then mate says look a fckn bull moose. seriously within 5 mins a nice size bull appeared looking for the cow. So muted the caller again. We watched him as he then bumbled his way towards us. Gave another call out and he then cleared a swampy bit onto dry land. Nice broad side shot boooom down he goes 2.15pm. Been in there 20 mins. so back to get quads and trailer. Get back hook tow rope on him. Fck battled trying to get him out. We only made it 1/2 way across the beaver damn and we made the decision to 1/4 the beast. Not an easy task. We got front and hind quarters tenderloins and backstraps off and in the truck by 8pm mate going back tomorrow for the rest long day text book moose called in
