This is a tough one BB. I'm in a similar situation at this end. The neighbours across the street have had their daughter and son in law move in with them. They're both early 20's, two toddlers an

Unfortunately,.this is not a rare situation...? Some folk thinks they need a dog around the place,.whereas in fact,...they don't have the time or the savvy to get the best out of a canine pal...

Find the dog a good home and tell them it ran away.

Take the dog on yourself if it's pissing you off that much?

I've got 6 already - all well cared for in every way !

It's not the dog that's pi55ing me off - it's more the attitude of the owners, and trying to get them to live up the their commitment. I've tried the good cop route, as well as the bad cop, but nothings made a difference so, as Walshie said, I was looking for new ideas............

And anyone who thinks I'm whingeing really doesn't know me very well.

As harsh as it may sound, you'd be better turning your back and leave em to their own devices....

The fact of the matter is that some folks treat dogs much different than others and dont give a feck about it.

See, some dogs just end up with a piss poor standard of living, without any direct cruelty inflicted.

We have a pair of fat, greasy, trampy feckers down my lane, they run a horse sanctury but keep two dogs at home in total squalor, their house is almost surrounded by trees and open countryside, yet the poor mutts have never set foot out their yard, paddling round in shite all day and a piss poor kennel. In the 9 years i've lived here i've never seen em! How do i know, the window cleaners tell me BUT hey, i aint gonna loose sleep over it.

Sadly its just the hand they've been dealt....

Lots of people leave their dog all day, frankly, I simply don't get it, if you don't have the time for a dog don't get one.

Who knows about this situation, things are commonly not quite as they may seem!

For people that have no time for their dogs at all. But for working dogs it's just part of the deal. I need to earn a living and I want to work dogs. Imo welfare is not compromised at all. Dogs don't need constant attention.

True mate, see it all the time but it' "does not compute" with a working dog owner, my 4 neighbours all have several dogs but because all got big gardens they never walk or socialise them, hence there all noisy feckers,  where we are is brilliant for dog walking etc can't believe they don't want to! Should have a fishtank or a tamagochi lol

Cheers, D.

Perhaps I didn't make that clear enough, I meant as per the OP (Pets), not working dogs!
