Str 793
I am after an air rifle to shoot rabbits,I would like something light & accurate preferably pre charge,pump,c02, it doesn’t have to be any thing fancy, over the years I’ve had hw80 hw77, sharp inova,s400 all sorts really, the last one was a hw80 but it was two heavy, I’ve been looking but I am abit rusty with air rifles so any advice would be welcome, cheers. mark williams 7,563
Buy cheap, " buy twice", raise the bar some STR, it will definitely benefit you to do so. Good luck with your choices, although an eighty or 77 takes a lot of bettering. atb Mark. 1 1 Quote Link to post
villaman 9,982
BSA ultra.177 fits the bill. This gun will match any top price PCP pellet for pellet These guns are even better with a tune and reg but great even with out 4 1 Quote Link to post
Str 793
There are good guns mark but I find they can spoil a walk round because of there bulk,I preferred the hw77 to the hw80 .cheers. 1 Quote Link to post

Or just buy a scorpion t10 the ultras big sister much under rated rifle to but just as good and with a better shot count by far atvbjimmy 1 1 Quote Link to post

If the OP is after a CHEAP rabbit rifle I would suggest it essential he avoids early Ultras! 1 1 1 Quote Link to post

Str 793
Is there any modern pump air rifles that are worth a look? I had a sharp inova years ago which was light accurate but not very reliable if you tweaked the power. Quote Link to post
big napper 3,621
I used one a mate had years ago and what a ball aker it was, id say a springer would be better than a pump, id stick with your 1st thaught and get a pcp mate i think a shit pcp would still be better than a pump up. Unles theyv improved since i last used one 1 Quote Link to post

You must have had the only one that worked, it was pants, that's why so much of it got changed! In fairness, I understand the newer version is a very different beast, but I have no experience of it!
