Deker 3,478 Posted July 10, 2018 Author Report Share Posted July 10, 2018 Oh dear, lets be honest, the weather didn't help, the Carp were just sunbathing and certainly not interested in eating. My lad and myself, 25 hours fishing between us with 5 rods and about every bait and technique you can think of, 1 x 12.5lb Common, very nice and in good condition, 2 x roach, about 1/2lb each and a Crayfish. The crayfish were demolishing everything on the bottom, it was impossible to cast and retrieve any bait, they even tried to take chunks out of the weights! On top of all that the banks were alive! To be honest, I might give it another try, in milder weather and certainly stay off the bottom, there were obviously lots of carp about and without doubt a handful of 20lb plus cruised by, no monsters but …... 1 Quote Link to post

From the shallows at the end of the rod to the buoys where it went down to 10-12ft in part. Quote Link to post
