My lad doesn't work to ground (I don't want him to) but he does everything above, bushing, ratting, marking and he even goes beating and retrieves pigeons when I'm roost shooting. Apache... 2,588 Posted July 27, 2018 Report Share Posted July 27, 2018 When I was kid about 14 or 15, hunting on my own I was always proud my dog worked on its own terrier or lurcher, no-one showed me how to do it and I knew no better but I did know from an early age that one dog is better than two, I can't get my head around keeping a dog if it can't do the job on its own. 2 Quote Link to post
