Ratting With A Patterdale

Iv Had A patterdale dog for a year she is verry intrested in rats shes had about 40 in a year but iv gone a brought a smoker to help i was wondering wheather the smoke harmed the dog and how do you use one thanks

Are we talking "rat attack smoker" or a proper smoker?

Smokers can be dodgy if the dogs keep putting there heads into the smoke filled holes.One of mine a couple of weeks ago passed out.Panic stations,fortunatly shes ok now.She was digging an unsighted hole.Thats the only time we've had an accident but,we do have regular breaks and never do anything to enclosed.
