If you go to look at a Merc, get a pic of the vin off the windscreen, you can then decode the vin, to give you the datacard for the car, this gives all the build data, and all the optional extras,

And how do you decode it then?

Remember if you buy an Audi there's a strong chance you will become a c**t when you get behind the wheel

Had A4 sport line years ago, nice motor for the motorway etc, Just sold a BMW 3 series diesel with the full m package........ Like its been said... They all shit unless they are 4wd. Always buy 4wd pe

Drivers car kermit... Never been one to have what everyone else has, fake tan and a roid chin.... Good to be different.... Another 2k under the bonnet and it will leave most things on 4 wheels...... R

Yeah my pals saloon was sublime over the pot holes and speed bumps, will you get that sort of ride in the BMW or Audi?

The ride in the Audi isn’t as soft as the merc if you go s line, it is if you go for the sport pack (SE)  but then you miss out on all the nice s line bits, the problem I see with the merc is you would have to buy quite new to get the spec of let’s say an 8 year old Audi

Don't know if it's true but a bloke i worked with said the likes of Audi, Volkswagen have been having big problems with a cheap part going on them. I'll be looking for one about 5-8 year old. I must admit i think the Audi S-Line estate is the best looking of them all.

Got an A4 2.0tdi S line estate at the moment and its the 3rd motor ive had with a VAG 2.0tdi engine and i wont be buying another. All been unreliable c**ts.

I looked at the 5 series and the A6, i wanted an estate a little bigger than my old Passat, as a pure drivers car the the 530M Sport was superb, but after testing all three, i choose the E class, just that little bit more refined :)

For an estate they have done a great job at Mercedes, I’ve got a bit of car envy?

Yeah that's what the fella at work said. The 2 litre engine is no good but the 3 litre is a beauty of an engine.

Auto 100 per cent

I could never drive an auto years ago now I love them, wife’s got a seat Alhambra 2.0 auto it’s nice with electronic handbrake etc but don’t think the power delivery is as smooth as it could be.

Might get myself a little auto run around again next year,.

The old 1.9PD engine was the best Diesel engine Audi made, then around 2005 they replace it with the 2.0 and had nothing but bother with the fuel system and a few oil pump failures from what I remember about them, if you were looking at one after 2011 they made a few changes and ive never seen any major engine faults as long as they are descent mileage with good servicing
