Bosun11 537
We have family in Portugal and its a fantastic country. If we could we would move there tomorrow. My Mrs father and step-mother moved over there 20 years ago. Firstly in ths Algarve and after a few years, with working with the Portuguese Guide Dog School, north to 'go native' near a little town called Mortagua, where the school is. The little village they live in looks like sommat out of Kellys Hero's, half expect a Sherman tank to come rolling down the streets...! I love northern Portugal, the people, the food, the lifestyle, all fantastic... As for hunting, plenty of boar to go at, few rabbits, hares etc, crayfish in every river... Get in with the local Portuguese and you'll soon find out who hunts (mostly boar) and most villages have a running dog or two knocking about. If your gonna live there, get away from it all, away from the Algarve, its fantastic..!! Quote Link to post
stormyboy 1,352
It's too commercial for me kerny . We stay down near sagres, a place called raposiera. Good bars and restaurants and friendly natives lol. Helps to have family there with local knowledge. Edited May 28, 2018 by stormyboy 1 Quote Link to post

green lurchers 16,728
No shortage of boar hunting from top top to bottom and not frowned upon apart from a few English pats lol 4 Quote Link to post

DogMagic 461
I’m in California at the moment. It’s hitting 102 today. Last year the high was 120. It looks set to beat that this year. Thank god for air conditioning Quote Link to post
