DIDO.1 22,698
Took a mate today and he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Do you know when you see a big fish in a stew pond at a fishery? It's stunning and takes your breath away?!? But it's still only a stock fish......these are the same. But wild. 2 Quote Link to post

Under a foot of water next to petrol station. I fish a tiny back water like that, that runs behind my old school mate it comes off the main river and runs back in at the tidal stretch. completly over grown, loads of crap dumped in there but some cracking fish. had decent chub, roach, grayling, trout and dace. plus some decent mullet that come in from the tidal... I love an hour or 2 strolling along there with a rod. 2 Quote Link to post
steve66 3,446
Good sport but wouldn't fancy eating one Quote Link to post
DIDO.1 22,698
I'd never eat wild browns from any of our small streams an rivers round here, they do well to exist there so I always release them.... If you want a trout go to a fishery or somewhere sustainable. But yeah I agree, the needles put me off! 1 1 Quote Link to post
