Running dog next to bike

I can't see the logic in tying a dog to a bike, if the dog will bolt at the first sight of anything then it's obviously going to pull you off.

I take mine every day just ride with 1 hand holding lead the other on handle bars can get her to pull flat out or stay at side of me but cats have made her have me off couple times lol

Me neither, have about another metre of lead ready to loose from my hand, if they take off, gives me a second to brake/steady myself.

Just started running my hound on the bike a steady 3 to 4 miles just to get him back into it he's got a bit of a back on him since last season so time to get him fittend up for the season atb longers01

Mine are usually free on that route, just put the pic up to show the lead which I use if there are signs of deer etc

Mine are run at side of the bike at the beach we have a wide concrete foot path and I just set the pace an they run either side of me cover 4 miles early conditioning and work up to 10 or so

This time of year i go out early 5 or before do 5 miles or so on the tarmac bit free running let them swim in the brook , but of an evening when it muggy and too bollicking hot i just tek them empty out over the rec see if theres any milfs to talk to or if im lucky the odd grilf
