both my  1xs are good lampers  , both had  30s in night , old Bryn    used  to get regular  good bags  when he was younger, Buck the better of the 2 ,  is more than just rabbit dog ,maybe lucky with both dogs,?  .But have seen over the years some very good  lurcher x lurchers   lamping , so maybe  it comes down to each dog you get , than more than certain  xs ,?

This one was a pleasure to lamp and in general but came unstuck one night sadly. Lurcher cross lurcher and god know what was in him but it didn't matter.

What cross is  peoples option on the best Lamping dogs just for  rabbits only

 Bedlington greyhound

 Bedlington whippet

 Collie greyhound

  Kelpie greyhound

 And  other breeds

There's no best breed really, just what people prefer. I like 'em collie bred, strongly built, and fast for rabbiting on t6he lamp. That's what I've done best with though I did have a Mick Douglas bred Norfolk that was v. good on rabbits and other stuff too. The norfolk was a long time ago and I've no way to scan in his picture unfortunately.

Beddy/whippet X collie/grey 23" was about the best rabbit dog I've owned, would tackle other stuff as well but lacked bulk for bigger stuff at times.

remember it like yesterday. Steep slope he threw him self at the rabbit and caught it but tumbled and and dropped it. They both set off and he tumbled again and caught the rabbit as he slide by it on his back lol. That is why it was missing half its leg.  Pretty spectacular to see apart the thought of a possible vet bill
