good russells are as hard to find as any good terrier. get a pup off a man who works his dogs and breeds worker to worker. stay away from lads who name drop this line and that etc...names on lines dont mean good pups. find a breeder who keeps and hunts his russells each week and you'll get a good pup. heres my mates russell he's a decent dog to ground

its a big chance...dog could be off pure shit and is just a mericle which will throw shit...then again he could throw a few great workers...higher chance of workers if breeding off a dog with a line of workers

Good and bad in all breeds i dont work them now as i favour blacks but to be honest if i was to be offered a pup of some better working russells i would have a one,Got in invite through a mate for a dig and the keepers russell bitch grafted just as good as any dog that i,ve seen.

I believe a man called Eddie Chapman had some of the best jacks around.But as someone has all ready said jacks are not Patterdales etc.All the the hunts around me only use jacks

imo a good staying terrier is hard to come by in any shape or form let alone colour....and if you worked the percentages out from the amount of people that work russells....then removed the non stayers....then did the same with black terriers....i would dare bet there'd be far more non staying black terriers than russells if you understand what i'm saying....go to any so called "working terrier show" and look at the amount of black terriers that will be on parade.....90% of them would'nt know what a hole looked like.....

very similar to bull crosses....just because it's a bull cross does'nt mean it is'nt a shithouse does it...how many bull crosses can actually kill foxes on there own.....

Is the brown terrier patterdale x jack russell? Its the double of my pup, which I was told was patterdale x lakeland, I just know mine is patterdale x jack russell. How old is the brown terrier? Thanks for your time.

The brown bitch was Lakeland / Russell from some good class local dogs, unfortunately she didn't make the grade and was nasty around the kennels. She was about 3 in that photo.
