You'll either find a way or you'll find an excuse. Either way, you're right. I've got slightly fewer excuses than the average socialist.

I suppose winning so easily got tiresome in the end. I haven't done bad for myself so i look back with fond memories. Edited May 12, 2018 by Kerny92
WILF 46,817
Ok.....bit of a massive generalisation but I have found that lots of people who “seriously” jog alone are massive egotistical fuckwits. I used to work for a bricklayer years ago when I was hod carrying, he was out jogging every night, doing 10k races, marathons blah blah.......always harping in my ear about being a smoker, no self discipline, die early etc etc i bumped into him one night years later......he had just come out of hospital after a bypass and had a stent fitted!.......he was sick as a f***ing pig, telling me it was unfair because I was like a fit, hard racing snake and he was basically an athletic vegetable ! Made my f***ing day, smug c**t ! Lol.......it could have only got better if he had fell down with a clutcher in front of my eyes there and then ! Lol Edited May 12, 2018 by WILF 1

terryd 8,423
Stick at it and go for a run every other day and build up. If you used to run you know the score. I had more chins than a chinese phone book and couldn't jog for two minutes to start but after a couple of years did a fifty miler. Just be consistent and run rain or shine no excuses. Will all ways feel good once you done it. Good luck with it
Bush Rummager 4,606
I do a bit of both running and cycling. It lets me indulge without ending up looking like Peter Kay. Running is mahoosive for burning calories, but it is as boring as f@@k. Lad's.. Get the Strava App downloaded. It's free. Tracks you run or ride. There are segments on there , for example a stretch of road or a trail over a park. You can compare your time over these segments with other people or even just your mate's. It put's you onto a leader board. Keeps it competive if you like.. hence kills some of the boredom!!
