And that's why you have shin splints! The 1st few weeks are about gradually building up, very gentle. Doesn't matter what you've done in the past it's where you are now.

I messed them up originally doing some sprints last year. I thought they were fully recovered but i suppose they're like a bad back. Once you've done them in they take some shifting.
