I've often thought of that one while reading about this little lad. I always reckoned in Ashyas case that British consultants let their god complex get in the way of allowing someone else to help him - thank God the parents were so determined. TOPPER 1,809
doctors should not be allowed to play god if there s treatment somwhere then he should be allowed the chance to try after all he has nothing to lose ,

I thiught the doctors here wanted to treat that kid but the parents took him for different untested treatment that just happened to work ? If I remember rightly (I could be wrong) the doctors here offered a mainstream treatment that didn't give him good odds. A Spanish hospital offered a new treatment that, if it worked, gave the kid a much better chance of recovery. ....... British doctors and newspapers were calling it quackery and, the courts tried to stop them going. As Tomo said, I'm sure Ashya is now well and at school. I'm happy to be corrected if I've got any of that wrong. Also, I can't help wondering what might have happened with Alfie Evans if he'd been allowed to travel when all of this first started. ........ Surely the time spent pissing about hasn't helped the situation.

They wanted to try a type of chemotherapy or radiation treatment that would have completely melted the kids brain !! The Spanish doctors had some kind of new targeted therapy that didn’t destroy the whole brain. Kids at school now.!!
