mark williams 7,558
Buzzards and Hawks were really on the hunt tonight. Can`t be sure of the bird but I watched what I thought was a buzzard, close it`s wings, like a Pereguine Falcon, high up and dive at speed after something.( birds of prey lads advise please ? ) The pigeons were on high alert, to say the least tonight. I also watched a buzzard, try several times this evening, to gently coast into roosting birds as though he was just another pigeon, to see the trees " Explode" with a mass exodus of wood pigeons, realising in the last split second, that death was among them. Wonderful bit of nature watch tonight, even saw two hawks mating just 40 yds away from me, high up in the canopy. Well regardless of the nature on show, I managed to winkle a brace of pigeons for the pot. Here`s the canopy being shot through. Here`s the hard earned brace. atb Mark. 2 Quote Link to post
chrismdd 787
Very good shooting. We went out last night and managed three woodies as they came in and a single rabbit out lamping even though coditions were far from ideal. Leaves coming out will make the woodie shooting harder soon. Quote Link to post
