Joe1888 672
I should really know the answer, I’d say no. But does anyone work hobs that are in season , how do they get on? I may need to try Quote Link to post
big napper 3,591
When you say get on do you mean 2 hobs both in season working together or how do they do at working Quote Link to post
tsteve9999 456
If you mean 2 hobs together I'd say no chance at all. 1 Quote Link to post

pie-eater 377
I've tried a couple of times working hobs in season, they don't seem nearly as keen as they are in the winter. Quote Link to post

I wouldn't expect them to as their minds would have been on other concerns. <G> 1 Quote Link to post
rabbit demon 302
Any hob iv worked thats just about to come into season doesnt work as well. They still kill and bolt if they come across rabbits but their off their game big time. They mess about more than anything. 2 Quote Link to post

That's it exactly, the hob in my avatar is the best worker I've ever had but early and late in the season he was like a different ferret. 1 Quote Link to post
Born Hunter 17,763
Does anyone keep castrated hobs to save with season related bother? Do they house better together and also work unaffected? Quote Link to post

Yeah the hob in my avatar is entire but is getting old and has no interest in mating, also got a jill and 2 3 year old castrated hobs which are their kits, all get along fine. Frolicking Ferrets 33
One of my entire hobs will work well all year round, doesn't matter if he's in rut or not, he enjoys being worked 2 Quote Link to post
