Knapps 0
Hi, I have approx 100 pigeon decoys that are looking a bit tatty at the the moment, only the paint chipped off where they have been knocked about in the sacks. I also have 40 flocked crow decoys that need a bit attention too. Has anyone done this? if so; What did you use to strip them? What sort of paint did you use? What colours? Quote Link to post
Jackdaw 102
Blackboard paint for crows, pound shop have it in at the minute(spray).but because there flocked this might be more hassle than its worth. Or just cover in cheap black socks, this will give a smooth appearance,be much less hassle, and a cheap fix! And when they get dirty, remove ,wash and replace. Stavross 15,857
You can get a flock kit for about £25 they do about 35 decoys if you get the adhesive with the flock in a bag not the spray on flock Quote Link to post
Jackdaw 102
What sort of results does the flocking kit give? I only have a few flocked decoys,TBH if there close enough to inspect the deeks, they should be full of lead. I've just cut all my Full body deeks down, and added a perm spring stick to stop the faffing in the field, nice bit of movement in a breeze. Quote Link to post
Stavross 15,857
It works well, you don’t need to be to careful with it, it’s more about making them dull, as you said if they are that close they should be dead Quote Link to post
