ChrisJones 7,975
Not a new site by any means but The Political Compass is still around and makes interesting viewing. The premise is that you take the anonymous multiple choice test and then it plots you on the political compass. You can compare that result against recent elections in Europe and elsewhere and you can see who represents you or who's at least the closest. The good thing about it is that it isn't a short-term opinion poll about a specific issue but is more of a long-term analysis. After the test you get the result... ... I compared mine to the last General Election and reaffirmed that no party in the UK is representative of my interests!
neil82 1,080
if you honestly input your own details most of the population would probably get the same result, so why do we get the same twofaced corrupt b*****ds every time shoved into Westminster?

Blackbriar 8,569
I have to say, THIS is a bit of a turn-up !
Born Hunter 17,784
The problem I have with the accuracy of that test is that it asks you questions on your personal beliefs, not so much your political. It doesn't really differentiate, assuming that if for instance you don't like something then you would want to ban it. I reckon it'll put you in the right quadrant at least though. It should have "neither agree not disagree"..............some of the issues, I only slightly lean one way or the other.
Gav 1,708
To me, there should be an indifferent option rather than just agree and disagree, some questions I really don't care, but have to agree or disagree! I came out very near Gandhi, debatable to say the least.

My issue is the massive assumption that political beliefs are aligned with personal. For most that is true enough but certainly not me. My result is below and IMO I should be a bit more 'extreme' than that. Then again I suppose being anywhere in the Libertarian-Right in the UK is full blown extremism! 1
walshie 2,804
Phew, just made it right of centre. I think a lot of the questions are a bit iffy with some having negatives in the statement and some not.

Business people ARE important, but so are artists and writers.............just in different ways. I'm forced to disagree with the question, which (I guess) would move my result slightly to the left.
