Kerny92 1,246
The question is raw or cooked, I've read if you feed the dogs raw meat you are putting them and even your kids at risk with the bacteria in the food. Quote Link to post

Not true mate regarding putting dogs at risk they are more then capable of killing all bacteria from meat after all they are carnivores. However your kids can catch stuff off meat if fed in doors and dog dragging meat over the floor but just feed it outside Quote Link to post

Busher100 739
My dogs have eaten the worst stuff you can imagine rotting seagulls at the beach and rats more times than I can remember and have been none the worse for wear. Meat that is fit for human consumption is more than safe for dogs. They say in that article it can make your dog Ill or whatever if so find a case of a dog becoming ill after raw meat. I wouldn't be surprised if these scientists investigations was funded by dry dog food company's as they are realising more people ( pet owners and working dog owners) are converting to raw. As for the fella at the bottom saying there is no proof some dog allergies are helped by a raw diet there is. if a dog is allergic to grain it does not make sense to feed dry food which many of contain grains as their main component. I know someone is going to say " some are grain free" true but they are for the most part expensive far more expensive than a good raw diet. jmho 4 Quote Link to post

Raw all the time if you know what your doing As already mentioned a dogs body is designed for raw feeding even if the food is past it’s best.i can understand there being problems with bacteria if your feeding raw in your kitchen off the floor were young kids/baby’s are crawling about but saying that that’s on the owner for being a lazy git for not disinfecting properly after feeding if in this position look at it like this you’ve just cut some chicken breast up for your dinner using a chopping board what do you do with the chopping bord after use to stop the spreading of bacteria to your self 2 Quote Link to post
