Sounds tempting. Love the S-Types. And the E-Types as it happens.

Have a word with Simon at ASI before you do anything else Mitch. These FAC versions are fcuking tack drivers so there is something not right. Still think it might be clipping.

Did you take the shroud cap off to check for any clipping marks.

Put some masking tape over hole in end of shroud/silencer then fire a shot, check to see if hole is in centre of tape. Poor grouping like you have mentioned is either something loose or pellets clipping. For £1500 the gun should be spot on,I would have had it back to the shop next day tbh . Hope you get it sorted, sounds like you could have the same problem pav mentioned with his gun.

At the moment cant get a group 16" (400 mm) from one pellet to another , shooting high , low to the right ,then high to the left , low to the left . the nearest I got a group came in 6" away from the next pellet , high , low , left and right .   Came home in the end from my 100 yard indoor range  f***** off  Not bad for £1500

Have you checked that the bore is clean and not full of anti corrosion grease from the factory? Also, if you’re running it at max power, it might be worth backing the power off a bit to find a sweet spot with the pellets you’re using. It might be pushing them a bit too hard?  At fac power, different barrels can be really unsuited to some pellets and work well with other brands. They’re more ammo fussy than 12ft lb rifles and some pellets are all over the place as a result.

I have the same gun and pellets, superb combination, there is something more than that.

Ok ,spent the last 3 hours down my 100 yard indoor range and all I can say is what a gun the impact is ,pellet on pellet at 65 yards .

Right the problem had some thing to do with the shroud which came with the gun ,  I tried every thing  ,scope , pellets and made sure the barrel was tight .

So I thought I would have a look at the inside of the shroud but found nothing wrong with it ,so put it back on and shooting spot on  . What the hell it was ,god only knows .

my new shroud / silencer will be coming tomorrow and at the end of the month a new X barrel is coming free of charge as A-S-I had none in stock

What a fantastic gun , nice weight , nice in the shoulder and now shoots spot on , why all guns don't come with a weaver rail , just so easy and quick  to fit scopes and bipods .

Cant wait for my first hunting trip ,hopefully over the weekend  of course I will let you know how I get on

Thank god for that Mitch, I am so relieved after me saying over and over, go for the Impact. I am really pleased you can now see what I have been raving on about, this gun just feels right and just wait until you get on the bunnies.

I take it that you have the extending shroud Mitch.

yes Phil extending shroud  and its quiet  .

Just need to zero in my nv rig now then ready to go .

And I can see why you have been banging on about the impact  one hell of a gun in everyway

Don't worry about setting zero at longer range because this gun with those pellets will give you a pretty flat trajectory, you might be quite surprised. I need to zero mine again as I am just messing with scopes at the moment but with zero at 25mt, I had half a mildot holdover at 65mt. That was on my Mamba Lite so not sure how will work on the Hawke Airmax.
