Guest SJM
My back garden is a mud bath most of the year round so am used to it I know what you mean though, its not as much fun for the breeder, or the pups in the wintertime as its too cold and damp to let them out to play much In the summer mine have the run of the paddock (once its grassed over again from the muddy winter ) and they play out there happily all day long and just get locked in at night or if it rains. Having said that, I just had 2 litters there, 16 pups in total and most were spoken for by the time they were 2/3 weeks of age, only got 2 left so It doesnt bother me too much what time of year, any time is a good time for pups if you enjoy rearing them
