The best thing to happen would be if some of the criminals at the top of the food chain called around to them scum and told them that if that old boy, his wife ,family or house was touched then they would all end up dead. They should let the old boy know that they will be protected and at least he could sleep in peace at night. That type of protection would be gauranteed and would be a lot better than what the police could offer.

Reading some of the comments on facebook it seems his family have no shame so robbing old folk is a way of life to some from these communitys it would appear and is passed down through generations.

Most likely not unless one of them got drunk and coked up and went solo for revenge but i would imagine they will leave him alone and not bring heat on themselves. Nevertheless the old boy doesn't know that and a bit of assurance would give him a more peaceful life.

Hope it was Pure Terror !! Scummy cnut got what he deserved just hope he suffered!! Police should put an exclusion order on all his family to stay away from the old boy & if any brake terms make a fukn example of em & bang em inside.  Atb
