walshie 2,804
Instead of being stupid saying people can't take knives to cookery/butchery classes, and specifying where you CAN'T have a knife, why not make it you can't have a knife in public without good reason. Oh hold on, that didn;t work did it? Typical knee jerk reaction someone penned on the tube on their way home from work.

I believe it's a Glock 41 but it was converted to look like the Nintendo Zapper, by Precision Syndicate in Texas. They took loads of sh*t a couple of years ago when it went viral. Completely legal. Totally un-PC.

They will need to include this in the legislation!

I think they are those fantasy knifes that are more likely to hurt the user than anyone else. Without specifying what one is though, how can they ban them? If you get accused of having one, you just say there's no such things as zombies, so there can't be such a thing as a zombie knife.

Apparently, a zombie knife is defined in English law as a blade with... A cutting-edge; A serrated edge; and images or words (whether on the blade or handle) that suggest that it is to be used for the purpose of violence. So they're already banned from sale and manufacture and I'm assuming this new law will ban their possession. So if you collect knives and happen to own one of these and you bought it legally you're now a criminal. If the police come to your house on an unrelated matter and see one you're looking at yet to be determined additional charges?

Custom knife makers are genuinely concerned that their livelihood will suffer if not become impossible as a result of all this knee jerk anti knife legislation. Skilled craftsmen that wouldn't dream of making a zombie knife at all.

I haven't checked but, under that description, we've probably got a few in the craft & DIY section that could get some doors locked in ?

Blackbriar 8,569
I don't want to digress on to the Lawrence murder, but the 25th anniversary is in a couple of weeks or so............nice little trigger for more further violence &/or disorder ? I wonder if any Met Police borough commanders will have the balls to introduce Section 60 - random stop and search ? I'm not holding my breath !
