as I have said before, at what point do we start talking about the obvious?

You're right mate. If we just don't go to London the odds of getting shot or stabbed go down the further away from the M25 you get.

Someone should build a f*ck*ng wall around it.

College ?  Doing well ?  university ?  not acting like a f***ing idiot?  Dare I say it the army ?  The world is your oyster at 16 /17 with no ties or obligations

Are these people genetically predisposed to turn every place they live into a shithouse?......history certainly points that way !

The fact of the matter is that this is probably NOT a waste of young life or potential......closer to the truth is that they were probably involved with street gangs themselves. As for national s

The Home Office, yesterday, announced plans for a new Offensive Weapons Bill to help tackle Britains stabbing spree.

Outlined in the bill are provisions to bolster existing law and help with prevention and enforcement.

Mentioned...

  • It will be a criminal offence to possess a corrosive substance in a public place.
  • It will be illegal to possess a knuckle duster in private.
  • It will be illegal to possess a zombie knife (whatever the f*ck one of those is) in private.
  • Stopping knives being sent to residential addresses after being bought online.
  • Banning the possession of a knife on further education premises.
  • Updating the definition of a flick knife to reflect changes in technology.
  • Changing the legal definition of "threatening" to make prosecutions easier.

And my absolute all-time favourite...

  • Banning rapid firing rifles, and certain powerful firearms and bump stocks, which increase a rifle’s rate of fire.

Gentlemen, I present to you your government...

Brilliant isn’t it !

Hundreds of people are going to get paid to sit around and discuss this and Joe Soap will pay their bar bill too! I nearly pissed myself laughing as I'm reading the news here at 0730.

The British government in their infinite wisdom have decided that increasing restrictions on already banned firearms is a fitting use of the public purse. Re-banning an already banned item will suddenly and miraculously make a sh*t of a difference in 2018! I also love this particular quote

Quote

The new offence of possessing certain offensive weapons in private would ensure that in future where the police find a zombie knife, for example, in someone’s home they can arrest and charge the owner with this proposed offence and remove the offensive weapon from the owner.

I read that as "If we're legally allowed to search your house on an unrelated matter and we uncover one of these knives in the process we can double up the charges to make ourselves look like we're making a difference when we're actually avoiding the real issues and creating more problems that we can market the solution to."

God forbid we ever try to look at why these kids are joining gangs and stabbing each other in the first place.

It does but we're clearly dealing with people that haven't got a clue or are dealing with an up to now undiagnosed mental illness. What semi-autos are even legal in the UK?

I like the bit about knives being illegal on further education premises.

I can imagine the joinery and butchery courses are going to have to stump up some money to fit GPS trackers in their knives.
